Concept

The concept of sustainable development that is most widely accepted all over the world was presented by the World Commission on the Environment and Development with the publication of the Brundtland Report in 1987.
"Sustainable development meets the needs of the present without adversely affecting the possibility of future generations meeting their own needs."
This economic progress aligned with the preservation of the means of survival for current and future generations assumes an even balance among three core pillars: social, environmental and economic aspects, called the Sustainability Tripod.
